Only Hope

"Only Hope" by Switchfoot

There's a song that's inside of my soul
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again
I'm awake in the infinate cold
But you sing to me over and over again

So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now your my only hope

Sing to me the song of the stars
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again
When it feels like my dreams are so far
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again

And I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray- to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now your my only hope

I give you my empathy
I'm giving you all of me
I want your symphony
Singing in all that I am
At the top of my lungs
I'm giving it back

So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray
to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now your my only hope

We all have hope, and we all have an only hope. Our only hope is the grace that God gave us through sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to die on the cross for our sins. And through all that, we are saved, and therefore, have that hope of life.

The Christmas season is all about the birth of Jesus Christ. He brought hope to everyone, but what is this word, "hope?"

According to wikipedia.com, "Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life." Reworded it can mean, "Hope is a belief in a positive future related to one's present and past." And this is where Jesus comes in.

Jesus died for your past to show you how to live the present in order to perfect your future.

So, hope with all your might this holiday season.
